Well known for her regular television appearances on Ready Steady Cook, Great Food Live and This Morning. Lesley has an exciting and interesting range of Hands On and Demonstration Days at her cookery school at nearby Evershot, all designed to inspire and entertain you. Each day is packed with exciting recipes that you will be able to recreate at home. Teaching has always been her great passion and opening her own Cookery School in this amazing location is the realisation of a long held dream. Her energetic style of presentation is expertly combined with clear and simple guidance, making her classes both entertaining and informative.

River Cottage

Whether you are an amateur cook, foodie or even a small holder, there's a course to inspire you. Cookery courses last from one to four days, and are hosted by Hugh's River Cottage team of experts and like ourslevem they have an emphasis on local, seasonal produce. You can spend a day at Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall’s cookery school at Park Farm or visit his renowned café at Axminster – 30 minutes drive from the hotel.

Furleigh Estate

The multi-award winning, Furleigh Estate Vineyard is just 3 miles from the hotel. Tours of the vineyard and winery take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 11am and 2pm.

The estate is 85 acres of vineyard, lakes and grazing land surrounded by beautiful woodland. The area is teaming with wildlife; buzzards fly overhead; deer, pheasants and partridge roam the vineyard, while heron fish regularly from the lakes to which our resident geese return each Spring.
